Our Founding Fathers were not professional soldiers, nor did they possess great wealth or power. They were farmers, lawyers, merchants, and doctors—ordinary men driven by an extraordinary vision of freedom and self-governance. As we reflect on the Declaration of Independence, let us remember the courage and determination of our Founding Fathers who, against overwhelming odds, stood up to the mightiest empire of their time. In the face of the very real threat of execution for treason, they boldly declared that "all men are created equal" and endowed with "unalienable Rights," among which are "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." Their declaration was more than just a statement of independence from British rule; it was a proclamation of the American spirit—a spirit that values individual freedom, personal responsibility, and limited government. Today, as members of the Republican Party, we are the torchbearers of that enduring American spirit. We must continue to champion limited government, individual freedoms, and the rule of law. We must advocate for fiscal responsibility, ensuring that future generations inherit a nation as strong and prosperous as the one we have enjoyed. We must protect the rights of every citizen ensuring that the sanctity of life is upheld. So today, as we gather with family and friends to celebrate the birth of our nation, let us also take a moment to honor the legacy of our Founding Fathers. Let their courage and vision inspire us to continue the fight for liberty and justice. Let their sacrifices remind us of the precious gift we have been given and the responsibility we carry to preserve it. May God bless you all, and may God bless the United States of America. Happy Independence Day!
