RPBC member Dan Linssen was honored on Saturday, April 22nd, at the 8th District's annual GOP caucus with the "Ladder of Liberty" Award. A portion of former RPBC Chairman Jim Fitzgerald's (Fitz') commendation for the award reads:
"A longtime Brown County party volunteer, Dan Linssen is always looking for opportunities to help carry out our mission, “To win elections and develop a coalition of like-minded individuals who believe in helping our society by governing with conservative principles.” To that end, Dan offered to research and write a newsletter for our Brown County party. Dan saw a need for connecting our membership given the unsettled political environment of our times. An accomplished author and gifted writer, Dans musings and writing often lead to thought provoking discourse and conversations which in the end, make us all better for having had them."
Fitz' commendation goes on to state that “volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”
Upon birth, we're given a name and an allotment of time on this planet - nothing else. Dan has donated both by virtue of his work for our RPBC. There's no more deserving recipient of this award than Dan Linssen.
